Harford Country, Maryland Learns About BEAM & Realizes the Product is a “Must-Have”

Matt first heard about BEAM in 2017 when his COO saw an ad on Facebook for the product and was immediately won over and wanted to know more. After doing a little research online and learning more about BEAM and how the device is essentially a digital playground for children, Matt scheduled a call with BEAM’s sales team to learn more about the product, how it worked, and to figure out how BEAM could fit into the library’s current offerings.

After the call and after doing a little competitor research, Matt went to work trying to figure out how exactly the product would fit in the library and which branches had the ideal space to install BEAM. Matt settled on three different branch locations that he thought would be a fit. After finding the ideal space for the device inside each location, Matt worked with BEAM’s team to purchase three devices, which arrived within a month. All in all, the purchasing process was quick and seamless and Matt said that the BEAM sales rep he worked with was very helpful in pointing him in the right direction whenever he had a question.

After the three devices arrived in the mail, a BEAM technician came out right away to install all the devices. It was very clear to Matt that the technician knew exactly what he was doing and the technician thoroughly explained to Matt exactly how to use the BEAM product. Matt was pleasantly surprised with how easy using the BEAM device was and could not wait for the kids that come to the library to use it. Matt knew that BEAM was going to be an instant hit!

BEAM is a Hit at the Library!

Inside the Harford County Public Library, the BEAM devices are set up inside conference rooms in the Children’s Early Literacy Area, which is a room dedicated to STEM equipment. BEAM is set up to be used for programming activities multiple times a week and the kids love playing with it.

Matt explained that BEAM is 100 percent worth the investment and he is thrilled with the impact of the product on the libraries. Kids are always asking to play on it and Matt has witnessed many times when a child does not want to leave the library because they are having such a good time playing on BEAM. Matt said that the vast array of content that BEAM provides is also great because kids play on the device for hours and never get bored. All in all, Matt and everyone else at the Harford County Public Libraries is very happy with the overall positive business impact that BEAM has brought to their organization and they would love to install the device at every library in their district.
